John T. Cozzone, MD, is the practice founder and resident surgeon. With more than 20 years of expertise, Dr. Cozzone has performed thousands of breast, body and facial cosmetic procedures. Dr. John T. Cozzone opened his practice in Paramus, New Jersey with a singular vision: to provide patients with personalized, compassionate, one-on-one care and an unquestionable level of medical expertise—a form of professionalism previously available only from large Manhattan-based practices.

Today, with his staff of caring and dedicated professionals, Dr. Cozzone has made personalized, attentive care a fundamental quality of his practice.

Because cosmetic surgery involves patient emotion, appearance and self-esteem, every patient is more than a client and every transformation more than simply a medical procedure. Accordingly, Dr. Cozzone views each patient as unique, and each need as highly personalized.

Specialized Training

Dr. Cozzone specializes in the latest and safest procedures in reconstructive and plastic surgery. He is trained and experienced in advanced, minimally invasive surgery techniques such as endoscopic brow lift. Dr. Cozzone also offers the latest non-surgical therapies for treating facial wrinkles and folds including Juvederm, Restylane and Botox injections.

Licensing and Professional Affiliations

Dr. Cozzone is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He holds licenses in the states of New Jersey, New York and Ohio and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Education

A New Jersey native, Dr. Cozzone graduated from the College of Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. With a passion for medicine, he immediately traveled to Italy and earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the renowned University of Rome.

Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Cozzone completed training in general surgery at Jersey City Medical Center where his expertise and commitment to patient care ultimately earned him the Chief Resident position. After spending five years at Jersey City Medical Center, Dr. Cozzone developed an interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

In 1985, Dr. Cozzone completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Ohio State University where he served as Clinical Professor of Surgery for two years. Dr. Cozzone then returned to New Jersey to establish his own practice. Shortly thereafter, he became one of the first American surgeons trained in the art of liposuction.

Today, in addition to his cosmetic surgery practice, Dr. Cozzone is on staff at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ and the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.  He also is affiliated with St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, New Jersey where he has been the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery since 2001.
