During a neck lift, loose skin is separated from underlying tissue and gently pulled up and back. Excess skin is removed, while sagging muscles and connective tissues are repositioned and tightened. Fatty deposits may be removed from the chin and neck. Small sutures are used to close the incisions.

The neck lift recovery period lasts about 1-2 weeks, by which time most swelling and bruising has resolved. Within a few months, you will see the final results of your neck lift and enjoy a firmer, smoother neck area.
